Golfing and Canoe/Kayak Rentals near Leave No Trace Cabin
Recent requests by guests coming this summer to Leave No Trace Cabin had me doing a little of research lately out of my comfort zones of equestrian pursuits. But with the help of Google and some personal discussions with friends who are golfers and kayakers I have come up with these websites for the pursuit of these sports near Leave No Trace Cabin. Enjoy! There is something for everyone in this wonderful part of Vermont!
Golf courses nearby:
Crown Point Country Club, Springfield, VT – maybe 15 mi from the cabin

Woodstock Country Club – five miles (I also recommend the Fairways Grille there
for lunch!)

Quechee Country Club – about 12 miles (another great restaurant for dinner – a
little pricey)

The closest place for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing:
Wilderness Trails in Quechee – about 10 miles.

The owner, Marty Banak is very knowledgeable and friendly – I took some
cross-country ski lessons from him.
North Star Rentals also has canoes and kayaks and is a bit further away – 14
miles. Even if you don’t go there to rent you should travel in that
direction to see the Cornish-Windsor covered bridge pictured in their ad –
it’s quite historic as one of the longest double span covered bridges, as it
crosses the Conn. R. from VT to NH

Dartmouth Outing Club through the Ledyard Canoe Club also rents kayaks I’ve heard – they are in Hanover,
NH – about 30 min. away at Dartmouth College. The small town of Hanover is
lovely with nice shops and good restaurants (and a movie theater even!! ?
