Experience Real Vermont – visit Sugarbush Farm, Taftsville, which offers detailed information/demos on maple sugaring, a cheese shop and sampling room for cheese and maple syrup, educational displays and of course, a gift shop full of Vermont specialties. They offer sleigh rides in the Winter behind those big draft horses that do double duty during sugaring season (typically March timeframe). Feb. 5 – Hartland, VT – The Tiki Torch Trek – 5-7pm 3 km cross-country ski trails across from the Fire Station are adorned with lighted Tiki Torches and Lanterns with music, bonfire  and food from local establishments. Cross-country ski, snowshoe and for this special event only  you can even just walk the trails. Parking is at the Hartland Rec Center on Rt. 12 with a shuttle bus to the trail. $25 for entire Family or $9 for 12 and older. Free for under 12. http://www.hartlandwintertrails.org/
